I wasn't going to carve pumpkins this year. I always seem to leave them out just a little too long and then I have to scrape a gooey mess off the front steps. But that was until I saw these little gems. My friend has carved the pumpkin in the lower right of the night shot with only a kitchen utensil to punch the holes. That's easier than carving a face and these are just gorgeous! Now the lace patterns on the right are just ridiculous. No one can do that except Martha and I guess that makes sense being that she is the author of these designs.

new fall purchase...
I am currently donning this adorable sweater from the Gap. I discovered it over the weekend and couldn't not buy it. It probably should have been put on a birthday wish list, but I just couldn't wait. I may be having a love affair with ruffles.

It is getting colder and colder, which means it is time to get out those scarves. My scarves are either stuffed in a basket or strewn throughout the house, so I was pretty excited when I saw this fabric scarf holder on Apartment Therapy. The idea is pretty genius but I must be feeling lazy, I was hoping it was for sale instead of a diy project.

ruffle my feathers...
This morning I checked my email to find a new message from shopamatic. It's a feature from New York Magazine and their slogan is "we window-shop so you don't have to." Fun, fun. Their latest spread is all about winter coats and I see the prettiest little ruffled coat. I entertain the idea that I actually need a new winter coat and decide to check it out....
Surprise surprise, it's from my favorite store, Anthropologie and consequently, $348. *Sigh*

i'm feeling light-headed....
I am in love with textile designer Amy Butler's home, highlighted on sfgirlbybay's blog. *Sigh* I am particularly in love with one the clever use of the wall decal and the vase on the right side of the room. Genius. Be sure to check out the rest of Amy Butler's home, unless of course you are prone to swooning.

blank wall starving for a decision...
I had been thinking about this idea from Blueprint magazine for my dining room wall but now I don't know! This idea from Design Crush is totally unique. I'm so fickle. Must come from all these design blogs I read, so much inspiration, so little time.

a spot for that glass of water...
This shelf idea from Design Sponge is pure genius. Magazine holder turns to shelf just with a couple screws, love it. There isn't room for a nightstand in my bedroom and this could be just the fix!

I kind of want to hurt myself just so I can use this.

kitchen fun...
It amuses me how often I fall for kitchen-related items since I do not cook at all. But here comes one again from Anthropologie via Mighty Haus. Yay for trivets!
