wallpaper made simple...

I recently saw a cool post from Casa Sugar about "paste the wall" wallpaper from Graham & Brown. It's a non-permanent way to add a punch of style without all the frustration of normal wallpaper. Pasting the wall rather than the wallpaper allows for easier installation and removal. When removing, the wallpaper comes off in full sheets and the paste can be cleaned up with soapy water. Perfect for all renters or those that are loathe to fight the usual wallpaper messiness! Read about Casa Sugar's test of the product to make up your own mind!

monday bliss

I recently discovered the blog Bliss and have since been in love with Mrs. French's "I Heart Monday" feature. It's hard for me to concentrate on Mondays, just returning from the weekend and a little depressed to be back behind my desk, but "I Heart Mondays" provides the perfect distraction. Short and sweet, this feature is a picture list of everything that Mrs. French loves, which oftentimes becomes something I love. :)

pure soft delight...

I've been seeing a lot of neckwarmers lately, which are cute but just not voluminous enough for me. I like a big chunky scarf to cuddle up in at the bus stop. But this cowl by moo cow hand knits may have changed my mind. It looks so soft and comfortable, like I am drinking hot cocoa and watching snow fall outside a window. And how cool is it that it's made in Liverpool?!

travel in style...

I currently use a suitcase to travel, even if the stay is only for one night. It's all I have. But these chic weekender bags from Jane Marvel are uber cute and could be just the thing to break the suitcase habit.

recycled loveliness...

I have way too many of these pesky grocery bags and I adore this idea from Creature Comforts. I am a little intimidated by the task but to have a purpose for my Target plastic bags is totally worth the effort. If you have a birthday coming up, expect to see this little pom pom adorning your present.

in the spirit of Halloween...

I wasn't going to carve pumpkins this year. I always seem to leave them out just a little too long and then I have to scrape a gooey mess off the front steps. But that was until I saw these little gems. My friend has carved the pumpkin in the lower right of the night shot with only a kitchen utensil to punch the holes. That's easier than carving a face and these are just gorgeous! Now the lace patterns on the right are just ridiculous. No one can do that except Martha and I guess that makes sense being that she is the author of these designs.

new fall purchase...

I am currently donning this adorable sweater from the Gap. I discovered it over the weekend and couldn't not buy it. It probably should have been put on a birthday wish list, but I just couldn't wait. I may be having a love affair with ruffles.

It is getting colder and colder, which means it is time to get out those scarves. My scarves are either stuffed in a basket or strewn throughout the house, so I was pretty excited when I saw this fabric scarf holder on Apartment Therapy. The idea is pretty genius but I must be feeling lazy, I was hoping it was for sale instead of a diy project.

ruffle my feathers...

This morning I checked my email to find a new message from shopamatic. It's a feature from New York Magazine and their slogan is "we window-shop so you don't have to." Fun, fun. Their latest spread is all about winter coats and I see the prettiest little ruffled coat. I entertain the idea that I actually need a new winter coat and decide to check it out....

Surprise surprise, it's from my favorite store, Anthropologie and consequently, $348. *Sigh*

i'm feeling light-headed....

I am in love with textile designer Amy Butler's home, highlighted on sfgirlbybay's blog. *Sigh* I am particularly in love with one the clever use of the wall decal and the vase on the right side of the room. Genius. Be sure to check out the rest of Amy Butler's home, unless of course you are prone to swooning.

blank wall starving for a decision...

busy busy

Busyness has come upon the fall I guess, I haven't had time to look for inspiration and my blog has been so lonely! And I'll be leaving soon on a trip to Colorado and again, won't be posting.

But in an effort to try to keep up, I'm posting the picture above from a little mini vacay over the weekend to see good friends. The picture is of a wine bar that I went to in Minneapolis and I just love the colors and the ambiance. It's kind of inspirational right?
