whoopie!
I first discovered the whoopie pie in small town Wisconsin this past summer. Sold by two Amish women, it was pure side of the road joy. It looks like it would be really dense but it's light and airy and just like heaven. This whoopie pie kit from Little Brown Pen is just too adorable. The kit includes 8 muslin bags, 8 gift tags, and her grandmother's whoopie pie recipe. She says it's "legendary" and I'm dying to find out!

I am in love with these little note birds from Amy Interiors! Each bird comes with a vellum scroll with a pre-written message or a blank one to write one of your own. I would use these birds again and again with my own paper. Whenever your hubbie or child was having a special day or a bad day, they could find a surprise bird outside their bedroom door with a little note of encouragement or congratulations. Adorable.

I stumbled onto this site Honest Fare, a food blog by a woman named Gabi in Florida. I haven't even really begun to look at her recipes but her photos are very pretty. I've been seeing this idea of using skirt hangers to hang art for awhile now, but never with an additional hanger at the bottom for support. Either way, with one or two, it's definitely cute. It adds a little pizazz to something you would ordinarily just tack up.

This is absolutely genius! I love fancy window films (see "j'taime" and "window lace"), but with the fancy comes the pricey. Or at least until now! With Design*Sponge's diy instructions, I can just make my own with regular clear contact paper and white paint! Love, love, love it.

I love quizzes and I love decorating so it makes sense that I would be intrigued by quizzes that define one's style. Sproost has an interesting quiz that determines your personal style based on your opinion of varying rooms. I never seem to be totally agree with my results when it comes to these quizzes, but I guess as long as "chic" is in the description I'm OK. What is your personal style?

I have the cutest little matchbook notepad from a restaurant in NYC called Cafe Gitane. An adorable notepad to match an adorable restaurant. Definitely go if you are ever near Mott Street! Seriously. I'm not joking.
I have been hesitant to even use the notepad because I don't want my memento run out! I don't know why I didn't think of just replacing the pages or for that matter, making more! All those cute matchbooks that pile up in junk drawers can now be put to good use with this tutorial from Design*Sponge.
